AWS Account Identifier Browser Extension

Linting Release

Overview

The AWS Account Identifier Browser Extension enhances the AWS Management Console by displaying the account ID and a brief description prominently at the top of the interface. This feature helps users easily distinguish between different AWS accounts, reducing the risk of performing actions in the wrong account.

Features

  • Account Display: Injects the AWS account ID and a custom description at the top of the AWS Management Console.
  • Account Management: Add, edit, and manage multiple AWS account descriptions.
  • AWS SSO Integration: Import accounts directly from AWS Single Sign-On (SSO) for streamlined setup.
  • Customizable Settings: Configure the appearance and behavior of the account identifier display.

Installation

  1. Download the Extension: At the moment only available through the release page on GitHub, in the near future on the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons.
  2. Install the Extension: Follow the browser-specific instructions to install the extension.
  3. Configure Accounts: Open the extension and add your AWS accounts with their IDs and descriptions.

  2. Add Account Tab: Add a new AWS account by entering the account ID and a description.
  3. Import AWS SSO Tab: Import AWS accounts directly from AWS SSO.
