Hi there - this is what you might want to follow. You need to set a HiDPI resolution somewhere between 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 for the best results, but since a 27" QHD has a rather low pixel density, the image won't be as clear as the built in display (you might want to consider upgrading to a 4K 27" display).
