I used to interact directly with the OpenAI API and am considering using streamText function. Can I be sure that this will only wrap around direct calls to the models APIs and not send any data to Vercel or other servers? |

No data is sent to Vercel (unless you deploy on Vercel, in which case all the normal hosting happens of course, but that's independent of the AI SDK). You can check the source code. In the future, there will be OpenTelemetry, but it will be opt-in and you need to set it up (for whichever provider you chose) |
