Hey there, I'm Trey. I'm a software engineer who is passionate about creating solutions for health, productivity, and learning.

Obsidian.md solves a lot of problems for me. I love that I can make connections between my files and search through them while retaining full ownership of my data. Over the years, I have asked myself, how can I make it even better?

One of the main problems I had was wanting to see relationships between my markdown notes in a tabular format. Raw markdown tables were tedious and didn't offer any data validation. I decided to make a plugin called "Notion-Like Tables" for integrating a Notion-like interface into Obsidian.md. This has evolved into what is now named DataLoom.

DataLoom is my solution for creating more data views in Obsidian as well as providing a UI for populating views from diverse data sources. I have a grand vision for this plugin, including full integration in the Obsidian environment and allowing a user to pull data from the YouTube, Instagram, or X (formerly Twitter) APIs. This plugin is a work in progress. I am obsessed with making it fit my workflow needs. I hope that this project can be a solution for you as much as it has been for me.
