Could you describe your environment? I can see that you have one click installers but use an activate command from shell.

Yea, I created a python environment and activated it. MBP M1

I see, it's hard for me to know what exactly might have happened. I prefer to use conda with it's own python and set of packages.

Ok. I have anaconda navigator installed with the conda environment.

Are the install scripts for Mac broken and that's why they cannot be run?

I dont see any indication to suggest broken scripts, except for the torchaudio. I'm wondering if I should try to update the entire webui package, or do a clean installation. What do you suggest?

What I mean to say is: is there a particular reason you are bypassing the automatic installer script (start_<platform>.sh) which installs conda, python, torch, all the requirements.txt files and ffmpeg? I believe some users had git bugs before, hence why I'm asking. Installing without the automatic setup can be done, but finding the issues caused by it, debugging and analyzing is costly.

I had used the one click installer intially, however, I ran into some errors. That is why I tried the alternative.

I am thinking of redoing the entire process; how do you suggest I go about uninstalling it?

The automatic installer part is easy - just delete the folder. It will remove the python and all of the packages for it. If you never ran it, the model cache is empty. The manual installation is up to you. Does git work from the command line? XCode decided to make some... strange prebundled git that breaks the automatic installer, a bad move from them. I'd like to know what went wrong with the automatic installer.

Also, #196 has another user describe a similar issue. The source might be this: pytorch/audio#62 , where conda does not get the right platform and ends up installing the incorrect build of the package. If so, it seems to be quite a nasty thing with inconvenient fixes.
