both using mobile/m.facebook instead, private group need cookies, with delay 5-10 you should be ok, below than that your account will auto signed out by system

it would be great if gallery-dl can support fb

I too would also like Facebook support added, so it can go among the scripts I already have set up. Anything technical stopping it from being included as a supported website?

Probably because Facebook make it incredibly difficult (if not impossible).
There is a reason there aren't any standalone downloaders, or even scrapers, and the only half-decent scraper costs 200 bucks.
And AFAIK gallery-dl doesn't rely on scraping in the first place and uses APIs.

I wish facebook support was added :(
