How to Designate duration of e-hentai

Is there an extraction tool or setting that specifies the upload date when downloading with e-hentai?

gallery-dl https://e-hentai.org/tag/cosplayer:otterother

For example, when performing the above, I would like to download only posts uploaded between March 2024 and March 2021.

Or is there a function to extract URLs from https://e-hentai.org/tag/**** to a JSON or text file, for example?

Have you tried to use the --filter option : https://gdl-org.github.io/docs/configuration.html#extractor-image-filter

(It's "image-filter" when you use it in your config file)

Technically correct, but this will still go through all pages for galleries outside this range, which takes forever on EH.

There should at least be an or abort() to only look at the first file of each gallery and stop if date doesn't match:

gallery-dl --filter "datetime(2021, 3, 1) <= date <= datetime(2024, 4, 1) or abort()" <URL>

It would be best if --chapter-filter could be used here, but it doesn't have access to date information.

I tried the code you gave me and it worked as expected but as mikf said, it seemed to overload the EH.
--filter didn't know about it and could be used successfully on another site. Thanks!

You can use -g or -j to have gallery-dl output URLs or JSON data, as well as > to write said output to a file:

gallery-dl -g "https://e-hentai.org/tag/****" > urls.txt

Eliminate the investigation # of files already downloaded to the computer and reduce the load on the EH. Since my goal was to avoid access restrictions by doing so and continue downloading, I found that --filter did not achieve that goal.

But -g -j certainly achieved my objective!
Now I can repeatedly suspend and resume execution with cmd and still control the extent of the downloads already made. Thank you!
