Amethyst asks for check for update preference on relaunch

Describe the bug
When I launch or relaunch Amethyst, a get a modal asking for whether I want the app to check for updates automatically.

I have an idea of why this might be happening. I bet the way the relaunch happens is not persisting the preference.
