What is glm-light?

Release 0.9.9.8 had an attached asset called glm-0.9.9.8.7z; similarly with earlier releases.

Release 1.0.0 has an attached asset called glm-1.0.0-light.7z; similarly with 1.0.1. There is no longer a non-"light" release asset.

What is glm-light? It appears to be the contents of just the glm directory in the repository, but for whom is this download intended? Who should use this rather than the full download? And why don't you provide a release asset of the full download anymore? These issues are not addressed in the release notes or the readme or the manual, as far as I could tell.
