Desktop costumization

Currently Cairo only allows 2 sizes of icons and 2 positions for labels of desktop items.

It would be great to be able to extend the customization options for example having extra large icons, the label on the left and even that it can be hidden. Even going a step further by adding other categories like only showing folders, files or both and determining the alignment of the icons, so we would be able to have them automatically on the right side of the screen.

With Cairo you can choose the default file browser but to see your shortcut folders on the desktop is a "bit chaotic visually", it could be much simpler if Cairo had a folder viewer, where only the content is displayed.
