Description

I saw the use of "Micro-blogging" instead of twitter in the direct description, should I understand by that in the future there could be added support of mastodon ? Haven't found any desktop applications that merge twitter and mastodon.

That's definitely planned!

There are some steps I want to do beforehand. We need a proper specification for clients and their base functions, so it's clear what's required for new implementations (e.g. Mastodon)

I also require something like a PostReducer which strips off all the unnecessary data off the Twitter/Mastodon-posts and only leaves what's required for Surfbird.

If these thing are added and documented enough, there's no reason to keep waiting with the implementation of Mastodon, which I personally wanted to have since the beginning (which is also why I built everything this modular)
