There is a toroidal construction on which the twelve notes and the basic relationships between them can be placed. An effect, which would "light up" the detected frequencies and the existing relationships between them, I believe that it would visualize the harmonic progressions of any music.
One could use a pseudo three-dimensional scheme with 12 points of notes and 24 arrows of connections and "illuminate" only the detectable notes and the corresponding connections.
Looking at the src/audio and src/displays code, I suspect that the aforementioned effect will be relatively easy to add, but instead, it is certainly bordering on impossible to try to add it myself.
The progressions of a major seventh across the spectrum of the fifths cycle and a pseudo three-dimensional harmonic structure are shown here.
I am at your disposal for clarifications on the schemes if, hopefully, someone is interested in the idea.
