Images could not be uploaded #3185
Comments
please enable debug logging and share the nginx configuration |
|
the request is never hitting tandoor, on the /system/ page make sure it is properly detecting all of the required headers. |
have added the missing line to the nginx config. Now I get this on the debug section of /system in the container logs still nothing happen during upload attempt. Interesting is if I import a recipe from an URL it works and the image is there.
|
that's not surprising - the image is added using a different method. please reshare your logs. |
nginx at host system, access log:
log from container tandoor_nginx_recipes_1
logs from container tandoor_web_recipes_1

The PUT is never received by the intermediate nginx service. what errors are displayed in the browser console? |
I can not find more information on the Web UI than in the picture from this comment The message is in German language and states: "Error: An error occurred while updating a resource" And here the requested Browser console message: console-export-2024-6-14_0-15-42.txt |

ok, got it. Is there any size restriction by Tandoor, which I can use as an advice for uploading images? Or could be my own nginx setup the issue? In the meantime I have used the same image, but reduced the size from 1,7 MB to 152kB with gimp, now the upload is working fine. It would be really great if I could get some advice about allowed sizes |
The config that comes with Tandoor is 128M |
Thanks a lot for this hint, have added the following line in to the server section of my nginx config for this application. And now the original file can be loaded without errors. Maybe it would be an idea to have this info as well in the Pure Ngix section of the documentation.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to help me with this question, I have learned a lot from this. It was great to see how helpful the community is here. |

Bug description
I am not able to update a recipes' picture trough picture upload via file dialog.
For recipes which are imported via URL the picture is correctly displayed after import.
Logs are created by uploading images every time before they are captured. Starting at 2024-06-13_22:28:00+002
The picture I try to add is the following:
