Any experience proxyng rpc with node http-proxy-middleware?

In node (express)+http-proxy-middleware

I'm proxying well all the calls to /api to the postgrest server and all works well selecting like http://localhost:8081/api/importacion?limit=10&offset=0, but when I call an rpc it seems that the proxy is unable to get the response. The rpc works well if I call directly http://postgrest:3000/rpc/crea_factura_emitida but hangs if I call 'http://localhost:8081/api/rpc/crea_factura_emitida`

Do I need additional header configuration to make an rpc?

This seems to be a question about your node proxy, then? I don't think this is the right forum for that.

You are totally right. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Anyway, for the records, express.text() middleware would be after the proxy middleware in order to get a response form /rpc.

I think you need to declare /rpc also like

Thanks kryskool! Note that you never call http://localhost:8081/rpc/.

The substituted target includes the rest of the url so

http://localhost:8081/api/rpc/crea_factura_emitida

will be proxied to

http://postgrest:3000/rpc/crea_factura_emitida

In prod, I simply use nginx to route the the location api to postgrest. This way, you can work in dev and prod without any change.
