2. **Biologize** - Translate the software challenge into terms that can be addressed by looking at nature's solutions. Frame the challenge in ways that can be informed by biological strategies.
   - Example: "How does nature manage complex systems efficiently?" could lead to software design patterns that reflect nature's resilience and adaptability.

3. **Discover** - Research natural systems that address similar challenges to those in your software design. Identify strategies that enable their success.

4. **Abstract** - Distill the core principles of the biological strategies you've found. Translate these into software design strategies, using neutral language that relates to software development.
