Extreme lack of precision of selection in Annotator leading to badly placed anchors

The actual place where the anchor is added is imprecise, does not correspond to selection, which is a clear bug. I selected this whole paragraph and added this statement's tag there, but see where the end tag is - at a completely bad place, in the middle of the word. Test for yourself, under different conditions (browser window resize, annotator window resize at the expense of statement editor, different major browsers).
