Is it possible to select transparent color? #344

Let's say I copy pasted non-trasparent icon from somewhere. It has blue background.

I want to replace blue to become transparent. It's not easy to do it.

I figured I can do as follows:

Enable transparency in Image > Attributess
Use Eraser to get a few pixels into transparent background
Use Eye dropper to pick transparent color from canvas
Finally, use "fill with color" to replace blue background with transparent

It should be possible to obtain transparent color with the Color palette (Edit colors) in the bottom.
